2004-09-08 at 1:11 p.m. - linkin park and frank sinatra

Only on my radio station on yahoo will you find that Frank Sinatra follows Linkin Park.

Anyways, this morning i got done with classes at 9:50! So i have had lots of time this morning and i felt like writeing-that rarely happens to me. I went and bought a frappucino in the cafeteria and sat down in the deserted sea of tables and began to write in my offline journal. I would have never guessed the America being overwieght and ethics would send me in so writing frenzy, but i began writing and couldn't stop. I ended a rant on the former topeic only to somehow go off on another tangent about ethics.

College has wacked me upside the head with the issue of ethics! I have never even come in contact with that word up until the begining of this summer at the dental assistant interview i went to. And before that i just remember the thing in "Billy Madison" at the end withthe business ethics question...

But the purpose of this entry is not to send myself off on another rant, or rerant(if that is a word), but to....come to think of it i'm not sure.

Things that have been floating around in my mind:

1. College teaches you how to teach yourself, and u have to pay too much to teach yourself.

2. I don't think i have ever done this much reading in my life. Its like 24/7 read/study/sleep/class/read/read/read. Glad i like to read though i see that hobby dissapaiting(sp?) really soon!!!

3."The time of your life" "where you make your lifelong friends" whoever said these phrases must have been having a completly different college experience. I mean yes, i'm learning a lot, whether i'm truely motivated to or not, but nothing all that life altering has come about. Sure there is a bit more freedom here...but i never felt allthat confined at home. it is nice not having to deal withjimmer or mom yelling for me to do something for her all the time. As for lifelong friends...i know its just the 3rd week of college but i haven't made any friends i would consider lifelong worthy, or best friend worthy. Kemi and i hang out a lot...well she is usually here alot bc her roomy was...indecribably bad, but she moved and her new roomy is never here bc she lives just a few min away but bc of the 6 yr med program has to technically live on campus. Tanya , my roomy, and i are so alike it is nearly scary! We differ in taste in music, but she is open to listening to new stuff if i can deal withher rap and r&b. The other day i was listening to "the big band era" on yahoo radio when she came in and started laughing. I looked up and laughed as she said "i am always walking in to something new with you" she will definitely be exposed to all different kinds of music!

Well thats all for right now, Landa may come by and pick me up so i can ride along with her as she does some errands. Having practically the whole day free leaves you wanting a car...badly. Hope my uncle Kevin keeps giving my mom a hard time about me not having a car...
